A week is the unit most people actually plan in. This weekly calendar generator draws seven generous day blocks with ruled writing lines, plus an optional eighth block for notes and goals, and exports it as a print-ready PDF you can refill every Sunday evening.
A layout built for handwriting
Digital calendars are excellent at reminders and poor at thinking. Writing a week out by hand forces you to decide what actually fits, and a printed weekly planner sitting on the desk stays visible in a way a closed app never does.
Each day block carries a bold header bar, a blank date field you fill in yourself, and evenly spaced ruled lines sized for normal handwriting. The number of lines adapts to the paper you choose, so a Tabloid sheet gives you noticeably more room per day rather than the same lines stretched further apart.

Start the week on Sunday or Monday
The week start setting reorders the day blocks. Sunday-first matches the North American convention and most wall calendars sold there. Monday-first matches the ISO 8601 standard used across Europe and in most business software, and keeps the weekend together at the end of the sheet.
Because the planner is undated, one printed batch works for any week of any year. Many people print a stack of twelve at the start of a quarter and clip them into a folder.
Notes, goals and the eighth block
Turning on the notes panel replaces an empty corner with a labelled block for weekly goals, reminders, meal plans or a running shopping list. In a classroom it becomes a homework log; in a small business it becomes the week's follow-up list.
If you prefer a pure seven-day grid with nothing extra, switch the panel off and the seven day blocks expand to fill the page.
How to print your calendar
- Choose your paper size before downloading. The sheet is drawn at the exact dimensions of Letter, Legal, A4 or Tabloid, following the international paper size standards.
- Download the PDF file format file, or open it in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- In the print dialog set scaling to 100% or “Actual size”, never “Fit to page”, so the grid keeps its measured proportions.
- Match the printer’s paper tray to the size you picked. For Tabloid (11 × 17 in), use a printer or copy shop that feeds 11 × 17 stock.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the weekly planner dated?
- No. Each day block has a blank date field, so a single print works for any week. Use the monthly generator when you need real dates printed on the page.
- How many lines do I get per day?
- It depends on paper size and orientation. Letter portrait gives roughly five lines per day, while Tabloid gives noticeably more because the blocks are physically larger.
