This chore chart calendar generator prints a full month as a tracking grid: your own task names run down the left, every day of the month runs across the top, and each intersection is a box to tick. It works equally well as a chore chart, a habit tracker, a medication log or a reading record.

Your tasks, not ours

Type the tasks into the task list field, separated by commas, and they print down the left-hand column exactly as written. Up to twelve rows fit comfortably, which is more than most households need and enough for a classroom job chart.

The day columns are generated from the real month you select, so a thirty-one-day month gets thirty-one columns and February gets twenty-eight or twenty-nine. Each column is labelled with the date and the first letter of the weekday, which makes weekend rows easy to skip.

Chore chart or habit tracker

For younger children, keep the list to three or four tasks and let them tick the boxes themselves; visible progress is most of the motivation. For adults the same grid works as a habit tracker, where an unbroken run of ticks is the point.

Teachers use the layout as a classroom job rota, a reading log, or a behaviour tracker, printing one per pupil per month.

Print landscape, and print big

Thirty-one columns need width, so landscape is the default. On Letter the boxes are small but tickable. On Tabloid landscape they become genuinely comfortable, which matters if a young child is doing the ticking with a chunky marker.

Laminating the sheet turns it into a reusable monthly tracker, though most families find printing a fresh copy each month more satisfying because the completed sheets stack up as a record.

How to print your calendar

  1. Choose your paper size before downloading. The sheet is drawn at the exact dimensions of Letter, Legal, A4 or Tabloid, following the international paper size standards.
  2. Download the PDF file format file, or open it in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  3. In the print dialog set scaling to 100% or “Actual size”, never “Fit to page”, so the grid keeps its measured proportions.
  4. Match the printer’s paper tray to the size you picked. For Tabloid (11 × 17 in), use a printer or copy shop that feeds 11 × 17 stock.
