Why print a calendar with no dates
Filling in the numbers is the exercise. Primary classrooms use blank grids to teach the days of the week, the order of the months and how a date maps onto a weekday. Because the sheet carries no year, a single classroom set lasts indefinitely.
Outside the classroom, blank grids suit any planning cycle that is not tied to real dates: a thirty-day fitness challenge, a four-week onboarding plan, or a project sprint you want to lay out visually before committing to calendar dates.

Ruled lines and cell size
Adding one to four ruled lines inside each cell turns the blank grid into a writing surface with consistent spacing, which keeps handwritten entries tidy and makes the finished sheet far easier to read from a distance.
Leave the lines off for a minimal grid you can colour-code with highlighters, stickers or dry-erase marker after laminating.
Laminate it and reuse it forever
Print the blank grid on card stock, laminate it, and it becomes a reusable dry-erase planner. Wipe it at the end of each month and write the next month's numbers in. One sheet then replaces twelve printed pages a year, which is both cheaper and considerably less wasteful.
Tabloid works especially well here: a laminated eleven-by-seventeen grid on the fridge is readable from across the room and still fits a full month of family entries.
How to print your calendar
- Choose your paper size before downloading. The sheet is drawn at the exact dimensions of Letter, Legal, A4 or Tabloid, following the international paper size standards.
- Download the PDF file format file, or open it in the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- In the print dialog set scaling to 100% or “Actual size”, never “Fit to page”, so the grid keeps its measured proportions.
- Match the printer’s paper tray to the size you picked. For Tabloid (11 × 17 in), use a printer or copy shop that feeds 11 × 17 stock.

- Does the blank calendar include weekday names?
- Yes. The weekday header band is printed so the grid still reads as a calendar. Only the date numbers are omitted.
- Can I get a blank calendar starting on Monday?
- Yes. Switch the week start to Monday and the header band reorders accordingly.
